By saying this I don't want to jinx the day, but today was a good day! Reese was calm today, not as fussy as every other day. We are in the process of getting her used to her crib, but it is not going that great! She is very attached to her mom, which is going to make it very difficult when I go back to work in a few weeks. She is very curious about things. She responds to the tv, radio and when we talk to her. When we went on a walk today, she couldn't close her eyes, kept looking at the sky and trees. She will be 4 weeks tomorrow and it is going by fast, hopefully we will sleep longer one day soon (maybe when she is 30 will we sleep better).

Doesn't Get Any Better

It has been 12 days since Reese has been born and all I can say is WOW! We are definitely getting to know her and her personality. Of course Aaron and I are a little sleep deprived but that will get better with time. I dont think any book, dvd or class can prepare you for parenthood especially those first few days. Please pray for her health and happiness and for Aaron & I to do all we can to make her happy & safe.

Welcome Reese!

Santa brought us a very special gift this year, our new daughter Reese Elizabeth Lang. Reese was born at 12:06 am on Friday December 26th. It was a long labor, the dr tried all the way up until the end to have her the old fashion way. Reese was not going to come that way, she was going to come into this world through a c section. She has a lot of Aaron's features especially his hair. She has a lot of dark hair. She was 8 lbs and 21 inches. She is such a joy to have around and we both cannot stop staring at her in amazement.

Enough Already

What has it been 8 days of this stuff and still 4 or 5 more days of the snow coming and not warming up? I am sick of being in the house and watching all the stations that have news all day with weather reports that we see over and over again. That is our car covered in snow, that is with us even cleanining of a few days ago. Aaron is a trooper, he has been to work everyday, but today is the first day he actually chained up. Maggie wants to go out and play, she loves the snow but not a huge fan of the ice on top of the snow. We do have the car chained and ready to go just in case I go into labor, but I hoping I wont go into labor until the holiday has passed along with the snow.
Check back for updates...

Baby's Room

The room is finally done (almost)! Grandma Shore, yes mom you are going to be called grandma, she made an adorable crib set for her new granddaughter. Aaron and I love it, she did a wonderful job and I know the blanket will be a great comfort for her.
On my last dr appt we were told she could come at anytime. She is due in 10 days and the dr also does not want me to go a week overdue, so she should definitely be here by 31st or the end of 2008!!! I have my bag packed and I am not working anymore, so I am ready. We finally decided on a name for her we will share it soon.

35 Weeks & Counting

Here I am at 35 weeks and I am feeling good, knock on wood. She is growing and my skin is stretching, yes I am getting those stretch marks. It took awhile to get them but they are here and coming fast. Time is going by fast almost too fast. Aaron and I are getting anxious to see her and see what features she has of us. What an amazing miracle we are experiencing!! We still have not decided on a name, but I am sure we will decide very soon.

Welcome

Hello from Aaron and I. We have wanted to create a blog for awhile and we finally sat down today on this rainy Sunday to get it started.
What we have been up to...preparing for our new arrival. Our days are filled with getting ready for our new daughter that is set to arrive next month. We are getting really excited for her arrival.
My pregnancy has gone pretty good so far. The first 3 months really tested me. I was nausious and tired all the time, but once that ended I really enjoyed being pregnant. In October I ended up in the hospital for 3 days due to really sharp pains in my lower back. They are still not sure what caused it, the drs said anything from Kidney infection, kidney stones and just muscle spasms. The pain has not come back and we are praying it does not.

We cannot forget Maggie, she is our first "child". She just turned and getting calmer everyday. She has her own personality and keeps us smiling all the time! We recently went to the beach for the first time with her. I think she had the time of her life! She loves water but did not like the salt water, but that did not stop her from running up and down the beach.
We will do our best to keep this updated!
