Summer Update

We just wrapped up buying a new house. It is a 1966 daylight ranch in Rock Creek. It is perfect for our family. The big winner in the new house is Maggie, she is going to love the backyard, she can run and run around in circles forever. It needs some work but nothing really needs to be done right away. Thank you to our wonderful parents our home will look great with fresh paint and a new shine on the hardwood floors. I will post pics soon.

Reese is growing up too fast. We had family pictures taken today and she was fantastic. She smiled the whole time, we might have to look into getting her pictures taken for some local stores around town. She loves the camera. She is not crawling yet but she wants to. She has started food, but she is very picky.

Time to Catch Up

I am sorry it has been so long since we have posted, we have had an interesting month.
Reese got sick again and her dr was close to admitting her to the hospital. Right after she had RSV she got bronchitis. With the bronchitis came an inhaler and 5 days of steroids. We waited has long as we could to do the inhaler & steriods, unfortunately she was not getting enough air into her lungs, so the steriods helped her. We pray this will not have any long term effects and she will not have asthma. It has taken a long time for her to get back to herself. She is now back to talking and smiling a lot more. As of right now she has a runny nose but I think that comes a long with being in daycare.
Reese was not the only one that got sick, I got sick also. First I got pink eye and then right after that I got a sore throat that knocked me out. I have been sick more in the last few months then have in the last few years.
She recently learned to roll over & now she is anxious to sit up. She is a little more then 4 months old...wow she is growing up fast already! At her 4 month check up she grew 2 1/4" so she is now 26 1/4"!! She is going to be tall, hopefully not taller then her mom. She did not gain any weight but the dr was not worried because she was sick and grew a lot.

Cannot wait for the nice weather to arrive so we can spend more time outside! Maggie is ready to be outside more and definitely swim more at my parents house.

Reese's First Illness

The colds have gone through our family and hopefully they are gone for the season. Aaron & I both had little colds this year and we are pretty sure we passed it a long to Reese. On Sunday, we noticed she was starting to get a chest cold but she didnt have a fever and she was still very happy little girl. By the time I picked her up from daycare on Tuesday she was not my precious little girl anymore. She was very pale and could barely lift up her head to greet me when I came in the room. She had a little bit of a temperature so I called the dr. They wanted to see her right away. Come to find out she has RSV and a little ear infection. We have had her home from daycare over the last 2 days and will probably be out the rest of the week next week. Over the last 2 days she has slept a lot and she still has her appetite. Tonight she is doing so much better. She has her color back, she wants to play and is talking again. My Reese is back!! It is scary stuff, Aaron and I have taken turns sleeping on the floor so we know she is still breathing. She is a lot like her dad when it comes to being sick, she goes with the flow and does not seem to bothered by it. She was rarely fussy. Hopefully we will not have to visit this situation again.

The Latest with the Langs

I am proud to announce Aaron received a promotion at work. This promotion is well deserved and all his hard work has paid off. He was getting very frustrated because over the last few months he was passed up twice for similiar positions. He starts his new position on the 16th. The only negative thing is we are not able to carpool anymore because he will have different hours. This does mean we can drop off Reese later at daycare and I can pick her up earlier. Congratulation Aaron!!

This past week we bough Reese her first chair. She sits in it for awhile until she is unable to hold her head up.

2 Month Check Up

Yesterday Reese had her 2 month check up. The biggest news I have is she has grown 3 1/4". She is now 24 1/4". She barely gained any weight from last appointment. She is in the 75 percentile on both weight and height. Good news, she is healthy and happy! Over the last few nights she has been sleeping in 4 or 5 hour stretches which Aaron and I love. We are not used to this much sleep. She got all her shots which she didnt seem to mind the 5 pricks she got in her legs. She isnt going to stay a baby for long so I am cherishing these moments as long as I can.

4 Generations

Over the weekend Reese's great grandma came to visit. It was great to have 4 generations all together. It was another person to hold Reese and her to smile at. Grandma got Reese to give huge smiles and laughs.

She is 8 weeks old now and talking a lot. It is almost like she is carrying on conversations with you. She loves to stand up and look around, I am wondering if she will walk before she crawls ;).

She is definitely growing up before our eyes. It has been tough since I went back to work, I do not like dropping her off at daycare, but I really LOVE picking her up and kissing her puggy cheeks.

Reese's Spa Treatment

This is Reese's first "official" bath. She is going to be a girly girl who loves her spa treatments. She was so relaxed and content. About 5 minutes before her bath she had been crying for about an hour (or maybe longer). We have found something that actually works for her.

Just yesterday we took her to the dr so we could really find out why she was fussing and unhappy most of the time. We found she might be lactose intolerant. We have soy formula now and we are trying that for awhile to see if that works...so far so good. If this does not work the next possible solution is acid reflux. We just want to know so we can calm her and make her happy.

We will keep you posted.
